My name is Emilia Vuorio and I am the founder of MyMovementHub. Since graduating as a professional dancer in 2008, I've been dancing with several big ballet companies around Europe.
I became interested in Pilates in early 2000 when Pilates became an important additional part of my exercise routine for ballet. During those years my approach to body awareness changed. I realized how important it is to challenge the body in different ways in order to avoid injuries and maintain more evenly conditioned body for enhanced performance.
Having battled numerous acute and overuse injuries throughout my own dancing career, I developed a keen interest in pain science. Through tireless independent studies, I delved into the complexities of pain science and exercise physiology, seeking to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
As a certified STOTT pilates instructor with over 10 years of experience in teaching I am continuously looking for new ways to get my clients inspired to move more.
My Mission
I know how easy it is to find yourself in a cycle of pain and worry. Chronic pain and fear may become barriers that can hinder you from enjoying even the simplest things.
My goal as a movement professional is to empower you to become a fearless mover again. My dedication to keeping up with the most recent evidence based guidelines fuels my commitment to providing you with the best possible solutions and services.
I am devoted to finding ways together with you to rediscover the freedom and joy through movement. It is important for me to find solutions that will promote consistency. I want to help you to commit to your plan and start living life to the fullest!
